Starting the week of January 27th, High School students will begin their pre-enrollment for the 2025-26 school year. This is an opportunity for students to pre-select courses and alternate courses they hope to take next school year. More information will be shared at a later date.

We’re excited to announce our latest fundraiser, and the best part is—you don’t need to buy anything!
We’re collecting gently worn, used, and new shoes to raise money for CMS. Not only will you be supporting our cause, but the shoes will also find a second life with those in need. It’s a win-win!

2024 Summer EBT – Application Deadline Extended to October 15th
The Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program (Summer EBT) is a new federal nutrition program that provides grocery benefits during the summer months to families with children eligible for free or reduced price school meals. Kansas has elected to participate in Summer EBT beginning in summer 2024. For more information about Summer EBT in Kansas, go to Summer EBT - Economic & Employment Services (ks.gov) Households can contact the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) at 1-866-369-4777 for more information about eligibility benefits. Eligible children that were not automatically issued benefits by DCF by the end of July may complete an online application up until October 15, 2024, at www.dcfapp.kees.ks.gov

USD 315 has recently been made aware of threats circulating on TikTok similar to those reported in other Kansas school districts.
While no credible evidence has been found indicating an immediate threat to USD 315 students or staff, we are in collaboration with the Colby Police Department, will take extra precautions on that date to ensure the safety and security of everyone in the schools. This will include an increased police presence.
USD 315 values the continued support and cooperation of the community as they work through this situation. The safety of students is USD 315’s top priority and they are confident that, together, they will maintain a secure environment in the schools.
Reports of similar threats have surfaced in multiple states, including Kansas, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee and Florida.
USD 315 encourages anyone who notices suspicious activity or has concerns to report it immediately to local law enforcement.

As you may have heard or seen there will be road construction on I-70 on September 4th. Here is a statement from Colby Chief of Police, Jacob Hess on how it will be handled for our community.
Parents: Please guide your children if they are walking to cross Range Rd. and/or Fourth St. (HWY 24) at the lights, crosswalks, or crossing guards only. Drop off and pick up may take longer due to increased traffic.
