Important Information Regarding Dennen Field

At last night's board meeting, the Board of Education reviewed their extensive results of the community survey for the stadium project. The Board concluded that renovating the existing site represents the most efficient and fiscally responsible use of community and district resources. This decision reflects the Board’s commitment to responsible stewardship, long-term planning, and the continued support of our student-athletes and desires of our community.

Recent evaluations conducted by a certified track repair and resurfacing company identified significant structural concerns and confirmed that the track now requires a full and complete renovation. These findings underscore the necessity of addressing the facility’s condition to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with current standards.

District leadership is actively collaborating with our current partners to assess the full scope of project needs. This includes gathering detailed estimates, exploring potential phasing options, and ensuring that all aspects of the renovation align with both current and future district priorities. Once all estimates and supporting information have been compiled, the Board of Education will reconvene to review the findings and determine appropriate next steps.

During this planning period, district administration and the coaching staff will work together to identify and implement alternative practice arrangements for the upcoming track and field season. Ensuring that our student-athletes have safe and reliable practice opportunities remains a top priority.

The district is committed to maintaining transparent communication throughout this process. Additional updates will be provided to the community as more information becomes available and decisions are finalized.
