Child Nutrition Benefits

Congress does Not Extend Child Nutrition Waivers. What does this mean for the parents and students of USD 315?

  • The Pandemic Relief free meals will no longer be provided district-wide..

  • The School Nutrition Program (SNP) Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications will again be used to determine lunch status for students and will be available to families after July 1, 2023.

  • Colby Public Schools needs every family to fill out the SNP even if they don’t believe they will qualify.  Other funding for the district programming is calculated on the number of families who do qualify.  Please be aware that just because a family qualifies, does not mean that they are required to accept the benefits.

o   Some items that can affect families based on the SNP status are Educational Materials fees, Athletic and Activity fees, as well as lunch prices.

  • The School Nutrition Program application is a part of the enrollment process this year.  It is quick and easy to fill out.
