KSDE Report Card
October 12, 2011
The Kansas State Department of Education released the 2010-2011 Report Card this week. The Kansas Report Card is a collection of data compiled annually to provide information not only on a statewide basis but also by district and building. Data includes how students performed on the reading, math and science state assessment from this past spring.
All grade levels did well on the state assessments, demonstrating growth in each subject area. USD 315 received the following awards.
Reading
Building-wide Standard of Excellence: Colby Grade School, Colby Middle School and Colby High School
The following grades received Standard of Excellence in Reading:
4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th
Mathematics
Building-wide Standard of Excellence: Colby Grade School and Colby High School
The following grades received Standard of Excellence in Math:
4th and 5th
Science
Building-wide Standard of Excellence: Colby High School
A Standard of Excellence designation means a grade level or building must make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in the "all-student" group. The designation also includes having a minimum number of students be in the "exemplary" level of achieving AYP and not more than a certain percentage of students in the academic warning level.
Congratulations to the students, teachers, and support staff on the Standard of Excellence awards and academic growth on the Kansas Assessments! USD 315 staff works hard and is dedicated to providing every student in our district with a quality education.
We would also like to thank the parents for their support and involvement.
