PLATO Learning is a leading provider of computer-based and e-learning instruction for Kindergarten through adult learners. USD 315 has made available the PLATO Learning educational software to students in our district. This program will be used as an after-school enhancement program for struggling students 3rd-5th grade.
PLATO features strategies and practices lessons that will review what students have learned in class to improve math and reading skills. The mathematics section will help students apply problem-solving strategies to real-world math problems using the math skill they have learned in class. The reading strategies help readers increase vocabulary and comprehension skills.
Parents, if you feel your child would benefit from this program please contact his/her teacher. The program will start at the end of September.
