Colby Grade School Loading/Unloading Zones
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
August 18, 2009
We have changed the unloading/loading zones for the coming 2009
- 2010 school year. The unloading/loading zones have been set up to
alleviate traffic congestion.
For Kindergarten students, please use the loading and
unloading zones on Grant Avenue. Please enter the loading zone on
Grant Avenue from the north and exit continuing south on Grant
Avenue. If you bring your child to the classroom, please do so in a
timely manner so others may pull in to use the zone.
For First and Second grade students, please use the parking lot
between Garfield and Grant, just east of the playground. We would
like you to enter the parking lot from Garfield and exit going
south on Grant. There will be two monitors to assist the students
out of your vehicle and to the buildings in the morning and to the
parking lot after school. Please have your students remain in the
vehicle until the monitors are able to take your students from your
car.
For the Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade students, please use
Cleveland Avenue on the west side of the playground. Enter
Cleveland from the south, drop off/ pick up your student, and exit
onto Range.
If you have students in multiple grade levels, please use the
unloading/loading zone for your youngest child.
If you need to enter the school for an extended period of time,
we ask that you park on a street outside the unloading/loading
areas. This will allow for smoother traffic transitions.
Please refer to the map provided to see where your child’s
unloading/loading zone is located. Click on the above picture to
