NWLK Art Show

The Northwest Kansas League Art Show was held in Atwood April 2-4. Hopefully you had a chance to go over and view the wonderful art from our area schools.
The art show displayed selected art work from students in Kindergarten through high school from all the league schools. The host school is responsible for finding the judges and putting on the exhibit. The display space is limited, so each booth has to limit the amount of work they bring. It is an honor to be chosen to have an art piece in this display. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works are exhibited, and each level is given 15 ribbons and one Best of Show. The winners for Colby Grade School are posted outside Mrs. Starbuck's room. The included pictures are from the Colby Grade School display.
Please join us for another evening of art on May 15. Colby Grade School will hold an Art Open House that evening. Each child will have one matted piece on display in the hallways of the primary and intermediate buildings. Pieces that won ribbons at the league show will also be on display.
The school will be open for you to view the display of art that evening from 6-8 p.m. Come and go at your leisure and enjoy the wonderful artwork of our talented Colby Grade School students.
