Students have been working on marketing books through advertising and they've convinced me that these books are very worthy of recommending.
Night by Elie Wiesel
Tough reading with the vocabulary but highly recommended by the 8th grade team. This is a book about the holocaust and hard to put aside to stop reading.
My Sister's Keeper by Joni Picoult
Just found out that this book will soon be made into a movie starring Cameron Diaz. Talk about a must read this book has drama with legal troubles.
So Be It by Sarah Weeks
Imagine growing up with a mother who knows less than 30 words to communicate with. This is an excellent book about growing.
